The objective of this programme is to improve the availability and access to food resources for vulnerable populations in the Ouaka. To that end, TGH provides conflict-affected people with access to essential agricultural inputs for field crops and for the vegetable season. In addition, TGH contributes to the strengthening of the autonomy and resilience of agricultural sectors with the aim of revitalising the local market. Finally, TGH is involved in animal health through vaccination campaigns and the provision of equipment for veterinary assistants.

Outcome 1: Access to essential agricultural inputs for field crops and for the vegetable season is improved

Objectively verifiable indicators of outcome 1:

• 1,000 households are equipped with food seeds and tools;
• 10 Agricultural Relays are equipped and supported to operate their demonstration plot and their agricultural technical skills are strengthened;
• 10 groups of market gardeners are equipped with vegetable seeds and tools and are supported in the use of agro-ecological techniques.

Outcome 2: The autonomy and resilience of promising agricultural sectors are strengthened to revitalise the local market

Objectively verifiable indicators of outcome 2:

• 4 female cheese producers’ groups are equipped and structured;
• 4 existing beekeeping groups are equipped and structured for the development of their IGAs for the processing of beekeeping by-products;
• 7 existing agricultural groups are equipped for the development of their IGAs for the processing and conservation of subsistence crops and market gardening products;
• 15 PAs are equipped with means to maintain poultry houses and transportation means to extend their distribution capacity.

Outcome 3: Animal health of agro-pastoralists' and pastoralists’ livestock is improved

Objectively verifiable indicators of outcome 3:

• 30,000 head of cattle are vaccinated against contagious bovine pneumonia;
• 10,000 head of small ruminants are vaccinated against ovine rinderpest;
• 15,000 head of poultry are vaccinated against the Newcastle disease.
• All these vaccinations will affect 1,300 farmers.
• 16 veterinary assistants are equipped with small veterinary first aid kits and are involved in prophylaxis
