The results achieved in the previous project of this type were reinforced and three additional farm-cooperatives, as well as Pyongwon hospital, benefited from access to drinking water.

This program also implemented two pilot actions:

• Installation of solar-powered pumping systems (the first installation of this kind in North Korea)
• Creation of compost-supplying latrines (biogas, ecosan, etc)
