Following the inter-communal clashes and subsequent massive population displacement that occured in 2021 and 2022 in West Darfur, TGH’s intervention is geared towards IDPs, host communities and nomads in the localities of Sirba and Kereinik.
The project will contribute to improve the quality and accessibility of the specialized children protection services, through the construction of child friendly spaces providing psychosocial support sessions to children in need and case management services.
Additionally, TGH will provide life-saving assistance to IPDs, host communities, and returnees of the Sirba locality state through a WASH intervention by installing and rehabilitating hand pumps and monitoring water quality.
Finally, the project will improve access to adequate shelters and to life-sustaining basic services, through the distribution of 3,200 partial or full emergency shelters to the crisis-affected populations in Kereneik town.
