Initially unemployment and disillusioned young people in West Darfur play a key role in supporting peace processes and recovery activities when provided the right tools to engage. However, the participation of young Sudanese in political life remains limited.
To this extent, TGH will build on small-scale, youth-led, grassroots peacebuilding and advocacy initiatives in West Darfur, placing youth empowerment and ownership at the center of the project. Youth will be actively involved in the development and delivery of capacity building trainings, design and dissemination of peace-related digital content and messaging (including countering hate speech and stereotypes), implementation of micro-projects to enhance community dialogue, and participation in policy-making within government structures.
