Five years of siege and eight weeks of intense fighting and bombings have caused extensive destruction in most of the main villages of Ghouta. Water supply no longer works, forcing people to consume unsafe water, or to consume less water, with obvious consequences in terms of health and hygiene. TGH therefore identified the water sector as a priority.

Water trucking as well as the emptying of septic tanks and/or grey water networks are being organised for displaced people.
